Robert Schuerman
President
Robert Schuerman brings a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for operational excellence to his role as President of Medical and Commercial Communications (MACC). With over four decades of professional experience spanning multiple industries, Robert has established himself as a dedicated leader focused on customer satisfaction and employee empowerment.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Robert’s journey to becoming the leader of MACC reflects a blend of his midwestern roots and his love for the Land of Enchantment. After moving to New Mexico over a decade ago, Robert settled in Rio Rancho, where he has embraced the local community and culture. A proud father of three adult children and grandfather to two granddaughters, Robert’s values of family, integrity, and hard work are central to his professional ethos.
Robert’s career began with his enlistment in the U.S. Army Reserves at the age of 17. Through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant within two years. After completing tank training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Robert returned to continue his Army Reserve career while embarking on a parallel journey in the private sector. His first civilian role was in the tourism industry at the largest wholesale tour operator in the United States. Over his tenure there, Robert ascended to the role of Director of Global Operations, honing his skills in operational management, financial strategy, and business leadership.
Robert expanded his expertise across various professional fields, taking on senior roles in product management, customer service, and marketing. Notably, as a senior marketing leader for a Wisconsin-based airline, he developed an innovative service that garnered national recognition and industry awards. This experience solidified his reputation as a forward-thinking leader capable of driving product and service innovation.
After relocating to New Mexico, Robert joined a local software firm in a senior management capacity, where he enhanced the company’s customer experience strategies. This role prepared him for his current position at MACC, where his vision and leadership quickly propelled him to the role of President.
Under Robert’s leadership, MACC has reached new heights. He has reshaped the company’s approach to customer service, emphasizing robust training programs and empowering employees to take ownership of every customer interaction. His commitment to fostering cohesive teams and delivering exceptional service has been instrumental in reinforcing MACC’s reputation as an industry leader.
Robert’s forward-thinking approach and dedication to excellence have set a strong foundation for MACC’s future. With ambitious plans for growth and innovation, he continues to lead the company with the same passion and integrity that have defined his career.
Christian Salas
Operations Manager
Christian joined Medical & Commercial Communications (MACC) in 2013 as an agent and has steadily advanced to Operations Manager through dedication and a deep commitment to service excellence. With over a decade of experience in the telephone answering industry, Christian is a skilled leader known for a hands-on approach to mentorship, operational oversight, and account management. As a Startel Subject Matter Expert (SME), Christian oversees all aspects of MACC’s operations, from comprehensive service delivery, programming new client features to managing all aspects of a robust and active team that functions 24/7/365.
A Native New Mexican who has lived in the state all their life—except for a brief eight-month stint away—Christian is proud to embody the values of accountability, integrity, and teamwork in every interaction. Outside of work, Christian enjoys going to concerts, playing video games, and discovering new ways to connect with the community. Through a commitment to elevating customer care, Christian is instrumental in MACC’s mission of “Empowering Connections, Elevating Care: Leading the Way in Exceptional Communication.”
